    Default PMC Ammo

Went to the range earlier this week, normally I buy a box of Winchester 9 mm target loads cause I don't want to pay the gun store prices for ammo, anyhoo, for one reason or another I couldn't get to Wally World beforehand so I bought a box of PMC ammo to go with the box of Winchester hollow points. My question is this, when I was shooting the PMC's I noticed a considerable muzzle flash, to the point that while aiming the gun it looked like the flame was coming out the sides of the gun. While my fiance was shooting I stood back and to the side and watched the flare up come out 6 inches from the end of the barrel. Is this normal for PMC ammo, I haven't noticed it on any other type of ammo and it is a little unnerving when you aren't used to it.

I've noticed the same thing slug when I've shot PMC ammo - I think it's just the powder they use.

Start reloading and you won't have these things happen.

I've thought about reloading but I don't really shoot enough to make it economical, I thought about reloading shotshells but I was looking at stuff in catalogs and it doesn't really seem like a money saver, maybe in the long run it is I guess.

Can't say whether or not this a common trait inherent to PMC ammo. The .45 match loads I've had did not exhibit this.

PMC offers some really outstanding match ammo for the .22 lr and .45acp. I haven't shot any other calibers though I would suspect them to supply a decent quality load.

Question is, How did it group out of your gun?
