I used a garmin rino 120 that my friend has, it also has a two way radio built in. It was very easy to use and really liked it. But the price is around 250. But garmin also has a rino 110 model for around 160 that has the radio built in to. As far as I know the only really difference is the maps and the 110 has 1MB storage and the 120 has 8MB storage. You might want to check it out.

    Jim,
You can get a Garmin Etrex Legend for 150 if you look around on the internet. You'll appreciate the basemap installed. It has 8 megs of storage which is alot of maps. The basemap gives you some reference points to determine your location. Later on, you'll appreciate the ability to download the Garmin Mapsource topo maps if you buy it or have a friend that has the program. Then, when you go scouting, traveling, whatever, you can download that scout/trip to your computer and save it for next year. I've had the Etrex Vista for almost two years and love it.

mo hunter how does that feature work where you radio your buddy-does his position show up on your gps screen. I think they'd be great when were gathering cows in the bush.
