Got my GPS today.

Well, finally broke down and got a GPS, just the basic eTrex , as much as I would like to have one with basemaps and all the bells and whistles, I don't really need it for much else than getting in and out of the woods, at least in the morning, daylight I can get my way out no problem, but in the AM I usually end up trapsing around a bit to get my bearings. Plus, now I can scout out other locations and save them if I just plan on hunting them every so often.

Pretty happy with it so far, was fumbling with it a little today on my way to physical therapy, tracked my trip to and back. It told me how far I had to go to get home and how long it should take me based on my speed and all. I am sure there are plenty of features that I have yet to read about.

They can be handy, Ive got one that my dad won off a drawing years back never even use it because I dont need one where I hunt.

Thtas cool. I just bought an E-Trax also. The yellow cheaper one. Works great for geocaching. All I need also.
