What Scope?

I will be getting the Encore 22-250 I really like the Weaver V-24 scope 6-24x and it isn't to bad of a price around $400 but I don't quite have the money right now. I also saw a Tasco 10-40x target/varmit scope for $130 I know tasco isn't known as much for their quality but do you think this scope would be ok.... I have always got more quality scopes. Just want some comments, suggestions, anything. Probably won't get the gun untill christmas or around that time. Open to any Opinions "about the scope"

I wouldn't go cheap on optics. You'll be happier with the performance of a higher brand product. Plus, you'll save on a bunch of frustration.

I have a 10-40x Tasco on my long range varminter. Its a decent scope mechanically. I have had great success shooting it to just over 500 yards on varmints. When you use it in the hot summertime, it may (probably) will be useless much above 10x as the mirage gets to be too bad.

I have quite a few of the Simmons 44 Mag scopes in 6-24x44 on my varminters. They hold up pretty well.
