    Default video camera holder?

I seem to recall one time that someone posted on making a video camera holder out of an E-Z hanger. I have an extra E-Z hanger, and was thinking of building a holder. Was wondering if you could mount the swiveling bracket from a tri-pod on an E-Z hanger. If so, where can you pick up just the swivel part?

    Anyone got any ideas?

Does your tree stand have arm rest??? If so get the WIndow Video camera holder!!! Its the best clamp it to the arm rest!!! Its very easy to move around! If you just the own that screws into a tree its gonna be over your head and hard to work! If you use the ony clamped to the arm rest its right there infront of you while sitting and right beside you while standin!!! LESS MOVEMENT! Give that a try! $50 at bass pro i think!!!!

No, I don't have arm rests. I primarily hunt from simple chain on stands. Occasionally from my Summit Cobra.

I have a buddy that converted an E-Z hanger into a camera holder using a screw, but it does not offer any up and down movement. I was thinking of taking a cheap tripod head and mounting it to an E-Z hanger. However, I can not find a cheap head. I'm tempted to go buy a cheap $20 tripod from Walmart and remove the head.

I'm not looking for professional video quality, just another thing to mess around with on stand.

I was fixin' to suggest these. Good luck!! Post pics when you're done!! You might check out www.huntingfootage.com They always have stuff like that on there. Might even be cheaper/easier to buy one they have sponsoring them. I dunno, haven't really looked at them. I am done rambling now.......

The thread in the bottom of your camera is a 1/4 20 thread so any standard bolt will work you could drill your easy hanger out and put a bolt threw it into your camera get a thumb bolt from your hardware store for 50 cents or so drill the hole and then cut the bolt too the right length it would swivel and you could tilit it by changing the angle on your easy hanger .. just a inexpensive thought ... I bought gorilla camera hanger from sportsmans wharehouse for 30 bucks it staps too the tree and is 2 pieces fits in my pack easy swivels pivots easy too adjust .... just started videoing hunts this year hope I get some nice video
