Default Looking at buying a vtec.

I need to buy a new bow since the one i am shooting was baught by my uncle in 1990. I found a new hoyt vtec with all the equipment for 680 bucks. I was just wondering what people thaught of the bow. If you own one please leave me some feed back on the bow and how it shoots. thanks

i have an 05 vtec, i love it.

i too had a very old bow, so 50 yd shots were a joke. but now it is just like shooting a 20 yd shot with my old bow. it is very cool!!!!

i held a lot of bows and really preferred the hoyt grip myslef.

check out Archerytalk.com, you may find a bow you like over there.

    good luck.

Welcome to realtree.com! Sorry, I don't own a V-tec, but haven't heard anything bad about them.

I'd look in our classifieds and Archerytalk.com classifieds.

Also, post in the Bowhunting section to get more responses.

I just got one a couple months ago. From what I can tell so far, it is a very forgiving bow. Some hand shock, but it's something I can deal with. Kinda wish it was a solo-cam bow, but no real complaints here. Took a little while to get used to the cams breaking over, but they're not bad once you get used to them. Love the Hoyt grips, Vtec seems to balance well in my hand. Not a bad bow by any means, but I feel you can beat the price you stated as I bought a slightly used '05 with a quiver and rest for $400. Check out www.archerytalk.com for the best deals on used bows. One more thing....get a Trohpy Taker rest.

i don't own a vtec but i do shoot a hoyt ultramag and it's great, they didn't make it for '06 but i'm sure u could get a lightly used'05 pretty cheaply
...i haven't heard anything bad about vtecsand i have shot one and i liked it, so it wouldn't be a bad choice if u have the money

I absolutely love mine. Fast, forgiveing, holds great and gives you alot of confidence shooting. Like finsfur said above I use to dream of shooting 50 yds now I practice at 70.
