    Default Ground Blind hunters?

I have a question for all of you guys who hunt from the ground in "pop ups". I have the Ameristep Stackhouse that I like to bowhunt out of. When I am hunting out of it I either have my in my lap or I have to unnock the arrow and lean my bow up in the corner. Is this what everyone else does or do you do something different?

Also what kind of chair do you use to sit in?

I never put my bow down. I always put my fanny pack on the ground, beside my left foot, and rest my cam on there for elevation, and just sit there, with my arrow cocked and ready.
    Things can happen fast here.

I use one of them 3 legged stools to sit on.

I just got this one, it has plenty of room for me to have a arrow nocked and ready to go.

For the chair I also got this, the one on the right. I have a three legged chair. But, I hate when the legs dig into the ground, AND YOU FALL OVER!!!

I have little squares of plywood that I lay down so that doesn't happen.

I have one of those bowholders Luke posted. They work pretty good. As far as chair, I use my dove bucket that has a swivel top.

Thanks for all of the replys. I am gonna have to get me one of them bow holders. The chair I use is too big. Last year I used a lounge chair with the arms on them, kinda like the ones that you would use at little league baseball games.

Also, Do you guys leave all of your windows down? or just the sides and the front? I am a little worried about too much light getting in and the deer making out my shadow.

For some reason if I can not see behind me I freak out, and start thinking I hear a deer behind me. lol

I use the Escape Deluxe from Ground Max. I really like the size for bowhunting. It has a bow hanger, but it's a little noisy when removing the bow, so I don't use it. I keep an arrow knocked and have a home made holder that sits on the ground next to me. For a seat, I use a mechanic's stool. It swivels silently, adjusts up and down, and is very well padded.

I had a holder made. It looks like one of the s-shaped bow holders that clamp onto your stand but instead of the clamp it has a stake to drive into the ground.

As an Outfitter/Guide, I have tried many a blind. I am now using the Double Bull Matrix. It's sooooo massive. I have had 2 clients and myself in this blind, with chairs, guns, backpacks and food.....comfortably.

    You wouldn't regret this purchase.

I have a ground max eclipse that I bought this spring for turkey hutning with a bow. I always sat on a 3 leg double bull stool, I like it because its light and has a clip to keep it locked closed when carrying it. I also use one of the stake bowholders and I keep my bow nocked and ready at all times. It worked for turkeys, I cant wait to try it on deer in a few weeks.
