    Question Climbing Sticks

I'm looking to buy some sections of climbing sticks, but really don't know which ones to choose. Anyone have some recommendations? Dicks has a 16-footer for $29, and GM has a 20-footer for $39, the brands slip my mind at the minute. Never used them before but I've got stands that need them so I need to grab some.
    Thanks!!

I would definately get the 20'.This way you can put the platform of the stand a few feet lower than the top of the ladder(like 16') and you can step down off the ladder onto the stand instead of climbing up into the stand.

I've got a set of Summit sticks. They come in three sections for a total 16', I believe. They work really well. Pretty easy to put up, although I recommend using ratchet straps instead of the rope they include. You'd have to be able to tie a heck of a knot to trust the rope for your safety. I like how the steps are enclosed. Eliminates the chance of your feet slipping off. They are a little more expensive, but I don't believe in scimping on treestand equipment because of the inherent risk involved.

That's a pretty good idea MUDRUNNER, lot safer that way.
Ironhorse, I'm going to have to check out the Summit ones you mentioned, and I agree ratchet straps rather than rope!
    Thanks!

I personally swithced from the " Stick " to the API Ladder, but, I use ratchet straps for the extra, extra safety measures.
I use the 20' ladder. It's very comfortable to climb.

    Good luck with your decision.
