    I can not comment on the rest, but as to the sight, I looked very hard at theie bow sight as I like verticle pins. My dealer was trying to talk me out of buying it as they have had a few come back with cracked dovetails. I have heard from others that use them about having a hard time getting/keeping them tight. Hence the over tightening and cracking the pot metal female dovetail.

    I went with the Vital Bow Gear 3 Ring Trapper sight. It uses verticle pins, is super strong, and glows like a big dog! I held my flashlight on the lifesaver looking rings one evening and pulled it away. The rings glowed for a few minutes. This is so cool! I definately like and recommend this sight.

    I am speaking for the sight only mind you.

    I have a 2004 TR Matrix Guide Seroes 3 Pin version. I purchased it at Cabela's. Since putting it on - I have NEVER shot so accurate in my life - out to 40 yards. The ViPin is the best way to go IMO. The sight is also aesthetically pleasing - meaning it's purty!

    That being said;

    I had to sent the sight back immediatly after I bought it because it was shipped with the wrong screws on the windage and elevation adjustments. Replaced by TR free of charge.

    Got it back - shot one night for a hour or so - loved it - shooting good, tight, accurate groups. Hung up the bow..... Looked at it the next morning and the head appears to be leaning towards the floor. Upon closer inspection, the dovetail bracket had snapped at the windage adjustment. The sight head fell off into my hand - no good. Contacted Tr and again - replaced for free. I also conned them into sending me a spare GS dovetail bracket that I now carry in my pack on every hunt!

    I have been shooting for a month or so with no problems......... but now I noticed my 35 yard pin (bottom pin) has the fiber optic snapped where it goes into the pin - losing all the value of having a long fiber optic. I called TR - they said to send it to them for a fix for free. 2 weeks before hunting season?? Not a chance!

    In my experienced opinion - the Trophy Ridge Matrix sights - especially the Guide Series are too brittle to be considered "serious" bowhunter sights. What if you drop your bow? Or it hits the tree while your hoisting it up?

    Save your money and get a Copper John Dead Nuts or a Vital Bow Gear.

    That was my impression of the VBG sights they do indeed look like toys. Not a sexy sight I would want on my top of the line bow!

    Boy was I wrong!!!

    At the NY Realtree Roundup - our host NYBuck had the VBG Movable pin sight - Man is that thing beefy, bright, and well built!

    I will be looking to trade up my Matrix for a VBG sight very soon!

    I have the TR three pin vertical.......absolutly love it, glows forever, and those nitro lights will charge the site to the point where they will glow for 36 hours, i only used one hunting morning and afternoon all last weekend.

    its a big tough site......whats not to like about it.

    edit, i see people saying the TR is fragil. It sucks your sight broke, but i havent had a single problem with it, i was holding my bow upside down by the handle the other night when the handle came loose
    dropped the bow on to the hard wood floor and it landed square on the sight. They may have some problems but they may just be bad apples, i think thats true of any equipment. i beat up my bow pretty bad, and the zero hasnt flinched since i got it sighted in.

    I have both the copper john dead nuts five pin and the drop zone and I can say they are the best two things I have ever put on my bow. I also put the c.u.p. on the sight with the afterburner light, my groups are far more tighter than I have ever had in the past. One suggestion, if you get the copper john with the light be sure to use a marks a lot or something to dim the light as it will wash out your target, other than that you won't be disappointed. I looked at a lot of the other drop aways and the one thing I liked about the drop zone is it drops straight down instead of falling over like most of the others and I had read and heard about them not getting down fast enough especially during cold weather and causing fletching contact. I had problems with hand torque and the drop zone helped with that a lot.

    for me it was a mirage vs's the trophy ridge and a cobra sidewinder lx instead of the 5 pin from trophy ridge. both i think ended upo for me being the right choice i could never get used the vertical pins and the mirage has a great pick up bar and it very quiet
