shot plot or not

im just getting ready to plant my plot and am thinking of planting shot plot, do you think thats a good choice or do you recomend something else. it has to be somthing afordable for a 15 yearold.

shot plot is fine but I'd wait until August to plant it--it's more of a fall/winter forage. You might PM Oneida man he's the Wisconsin guru.

im with u slughunter, i'm 15 and was looking for an annual to plant late this summer for a good hunting plot that wouldn't cost to much
...shot plot isn't to expensive and from what i hear on the forums it is very attractive to the deer and a good choice

Would follows Todds advice and plant it late summer if it were me.

well i went to gander mountain and picked up a bag of it, im only planting 1/6 of an acre just to see how good it grows.

I am in Northern NY and had great luck with my Shot Plot planted last year in the first week of August. Try to plan 45 days from planting to first frost.
