    Default deer feeders and coons!

Have you ever trapped coons around your deer feeders? In the last two weeks I have caught 5 coons from one feeder and caught another one less than a half of a mile away.I'm using live traps and giving the coons to friends who run them with dogs, they're turning them loose in an area that they hunt.
I think I've been feeding more coons than deer.

Had the same problem a few years ago & did the exact same thing you've done. I trapped 7 coons off my property and gave them to people who use them to train their dogs.

corn feeders=coons. I've been tempted to trap some but i'm not at my hunting land enough to man the traps and would hate for one to sit in a trap for a few days without water.

We have the same problem here. Have never thought of trapping them, but have consindered eliminating some of them.

Raccoons are the Number #1 destroyer of Turkey nests. They eat more eggs than anything else, (even coyotes)

A little bit of population control on your raccoons is a good thing.
