The "Firminator" is a food plot implement used for preparation, planting and cultipacting food plots.
It can be seen on their website www.thefirminator.com
Sorry,I guess I wasn't thinking about the name not being a household word.
It looks like a well built piece of equipment for the serious food plot grower.
It can also be seen on the website www.northcountrywhitetails.com

    Cool.

Looks way too expensive for my blood and little food plots. Looks like that one product that's already on the market. Looks expensive too.

Guess I'll have to stick with my Kubota and Oliver.

It is not cheap, but considering it could replace discs, a seeder and a cultipactor it becomes a little more realistic. We planted 7 1/2 acres of seed already this year with plans to plant 1-2 more acres in the future. I hired some of the tilling and seeding done for the lack of proper equipment. This food plot business is not cheap by any means.
My goal is to be self sufficient and do things my way on my timetable.
I really hate to rely on anyone else, and work around their schedule.

That thing is definitely built heavier than the other one that is out. Bet it is pretty expensive. Think for me the kubota, the 8 ft jd wheel disc, my spreader, and my chain link drag will have to continue to work.

Bet for the tractor model as heavy as that thing looks in comparison to the plotmaster, they are probably considerably more expensive. The plotmaster last time I saw it in a catalog was around $4600. I could find a lot of good used equipment around here to use with my tractor for that kind of money.

For that kind of money, a person could find a lot of NEW equipment. I think what attracts people to this type of equipment is either that you can supposedly get the job done in less passes, or because you have less equipment to haul to the field. More power to them if they can afford it. It's an American made product making jobs here on our soil.

You know, if you could get a new lawn to take during the summer, I'd get one, put in new lawns around here, and have it paid for by the end of the summer I'd bet.

Too bad the best time to see a lawn is during the school year.

That is all fine, but I guess most people dont realize that it takes more than one trip to the field to produce a plot that is going to become well established and really produce well. With this product, you are discing, planting and seeding and then packing all at once in one pass How about herbicides? Guess you dont need em huh
