Default When should I spray this plot? (Pic)

This is the area I did a controlled, ok semi-controlled burn on 3 weeks ago.
Since then we have has serious rain fall... To the point its hard to even walk it without getting a boot sucked off. LOL
Anyways heres a pic of what grown since the burn. Should I just go ahead and get this soil turned and tilled and then wait to see what pops up to spray or do I wait a bit more and spray before I even turn it?
BTW do you notice my box stand???
    Thanks.

I would spray it before you turned it.

You aren't going to be in there with a plow any time soon anyway due to the puddles, so you might as well burn off what is there. The 'deader' it is, the nicer it works. You may still want to spray it after, as tillage stirs up lots of new weed seeds in the soil.

I see the blind. I would spray it now, then work the ground and then spray again, then plant if it were me.

let it dry out just a bit and then I'd give it 2 more weeks to allow as many seeds to germinate as possible--then I'd spray the heck out of it and plant 2 weeks after spraying.

    William's suggestion of a 2nd spraying is a good idea--especially if you're planting a perennial.

Yes obviously it is way to wet to work the soil anyways... Heck its hard to walk in there right now.. LOL
I just feel like time is slipping away and that I should be way ahead of this already.

Here in the fall is the best time to plant. Have had much better luck with cloversplanted in the fall here than with spring plantings. For here Septemeber would be the optimal, would check with Martin for your area.

You have plenty of time Shawn. You don't want the deer eating it until Oct 7th anyway.

The area looks good. I think docdog is on the money with the time frame. You should be ready to plant by the end of June. That is a wet area to begin with.....If you plant your seeds too early, they will probably rot.

    Here Ya go Shawn....

    Trefoil Trophy Rack Grower

A blend of 2 varieties of trefoil and 3 varieties of clover to provide additional high protein in the summer when antler development is crucial and fawns are nursing. Grower is also high in winter hardiness and should be planted in areas with modest drainage.

    · Planting Rate: 10-12 # per acre minimum

    · Planting Depth: ¼ - ½ inch maximum.

    · General Planting Dates:
    North until August 1st
    South until September 30th

    · May be hand planted in a firm seedbed [TTR Grower. jpg)
    before soaking rain.

    · Lifespan: app. 3-5 years

    · Fertilization:
250# of 5-14-42 plus 800# of lime at planting.
    100# per ace in Spring.

And just in case you are interested here is the link to Hamann Farms.....

Also have to add that the clovers in this blend are pretty darned drought tolerant.

Got a plot of the grower mix, about an acre or so. I was really worried when we planted in the spring and we had a bad dry summer that year. Will get some new pics of it after we cut it.

Wow good info Luke I appreciate it...
I knew it had a few different seeds in there but did not know any more then some clover and trefoil. I was not aware it was a few differnet clovers and a couple trefoils.
    LOL
    Thanks!

Ok I feel much better now.
I felt all rushed and behind the 8 ball on this project like I should of had it planted by now.
Phew thats a load off an already burdened mind. LOL
