    Default Milk weed

I have a new food plot and I am having a problem with milk weed. Does anybody know how to get rid of it?
I was thinking of raising my brush hog above the height of the plants because the milk weed is taller, what do you think? I would pull it but the plot is 5 acres and that is just to much

i know there are herbicide applicators that actually "paint" or rub the herbicide on taller weeds instead of spraying the herbicide. I t is a long hollow tub (like PVC)--the ends are capped and the PVC pipe has small holes with a cloth material out--the cloth becomes saturated with the herbicide. It attaches to the back or front rack of you ATV and you can adjust the height of the drag rags---so when you drive over the plot the rags "paint" the herbicide on the taller weeds with no herbicide touching your clover.

Milkweed is a tough one because of it's rhizome. Todd's suggestion sounds good. Personally I let a lot of them grow because they are the host plant for the Monarch butterfly.

Guess if it were me, I probably would mow it kind of low then fertilize it before a good rain. Would think the clovers should choke it out.
