Yep, I told you that fire wouldn't get the golden rod, that rizhome is one tough root!

I'd mow it off first, then hit the new shoots with a strong concentration of glysophate.

Oh I knew it would not get rid of it completely, but I did clean up the site by getting rid of all the countless years of dried dead stuff.
I seriously doubt if I could get my mower threw it, its still mega wet in there.
Weed wacker maybe, but man its a fairly good sized plot for that...
Id say its a 150x150 foot plot, maybe bigger.

Ugh, I'm tired just thinking of it. Maybe that's because I just go done battling my golden rod, and milkweed, and blackberry, and switchgrass, and thistle, annnnd.......

I am gonna get it srpayed today and go from there. I can't get a mower in there this week for sure. Hopefully we get some hot dry days over the next week.
I am looking at four 12 hour work days starting tommorow.. So I will not be able to do anything on it until next week. I dont want another whole week of growth in there...

Well I sprayed it this morning...
Time will tell how well since its was about thigh high and boot sucking wet in spots.

Kinda sucks doing it with a 2 gallon hand sprayer...
Can't wait to seed it with my hand broadcaster. LOL
