Help Please...

i'm fairly new to planting food plots and need some help getting started
i need suggestions on any thing i can plant that is pretty heat tolerant and doesnt require to much up keep, i want something that is beneficial as well as appealing to deer, thanks

Are you wanting a warm or cool season planting. If your wanting something to hunt over all season then I would recommend a late summer planting of wheat, ryegrain, and austrian winter peas. Plant early september---will be up and ready for bow season and will stay green and attractive all winter. If you want to plant something now then I would recommend buckwheat. It will provide some pretty good forage--then the first of september disc the buckwheat in and plant the wheat/rye/peas combo.

thanks dogdoc, i was kinda looking for both but i shooud have been more specific right now im looking for something i can plant now and then i will plant other things in the early fall to hunt over like you mentioned thanks again
