    Default lab lab

I planted lab lab in mid april and it only grew 22 inches high. Is this normal. And I also don't see any peas on them. Will the produce some later. I could not spray this plot but had good ph to start with so I don't know if that ist he cause of all this.

I might be reaching here but sounds like the deer are keeping it mowed down and pea pod-less.
    Just a thought.

that's what I'd be thinking also. Did you put up a seclusion cage? They can be very useful in determining deer usage.

The lablab grows extremely well around here and will have beans if the deer don't graze on it too much.
I transplanted some dirt out of the disced lablab food plot from last year to use around the trees I was watering and now have lablab growing around the trees.

The cage is probably the answer. You can't be there every minute to watch your plots.
I would guess the Lab Lab never had a fighting chance. You have learned two things. # 1 Your deer like Lab Lab # 2 Plant a lot more next time.

Yep, have to agree with the others here. Have either used the lablab plus or mixed in some sorgum with my peas and beans here, helps give the peas and beans a chance.

Thanks for the feed back guys. I don't have a cage up but there is 80 ac of corn on one side and 2 ac of monster mix on thother. The lab lab is 1ac L shaped. I know that the deer are realy hitting the monster mix hard but the bugs have been a problem with the lab lab. So do you think the lab lab isn't going to produce any peas. Oh I almost forgot I shot an 11 ponter of this plot last evening. He is not huge 130 to 140 but he was narley looking.

    Dear sir,
If you shot an eleven pointer on this Lab-Lab plot I don't see why you are concerned about how tall it is!
    Obviously it worked! Congrats!!!

I would love to but I can't figure out how. After I log in there is supposed to be a spot to click on that says upload pics but it is not there.
