Seeing What You Plant

How many times have you planted something and wondered what it should look like while it is coming up? I used to.
Now, I take a bowl I have gotten with a take out salad From Mc Donald's, put some Miracle-Gro plant food in it and spread a small amount of seed I am planting on the soil in the bowl. Poke a few holes in the lid ,add a small amount of water and set the lid on loosely.
After only a few days you will see the plants popping up giving you an example of what to look for in your foodplot.

That's a good idea I've been trying to figure out if the trefoil,chicory and alfalfa is coming up in this one plot.I can see the brassicas,wheat,oats,winter peas and clover so far.There are some plants with sort of thin stems and narrow leaves I don't know what they are?

Have tried sampling similarly to that before with small potts like used for starting tomato plants.
