Default crab apple tree with yellow fruit?

My parents have two crab apple trees in their front yard and one has yellow fruit that is between the size of a marble and a golf ball, does anybody know what kind of crab apple tree this is?
I picked these crab apples up and dumped them by the deer feeder and the deer ate them over red apples that was next to them.
I would like to plant some more of these trees if I knew what they are?

    Can you say Golden Hornet?

It's a culitvar of the crab apple that has yellow apples.
You can also graft this to other stock this early spring.
This way you can make it appear on all your favorite apples in all you favorite locations.
    Good Luck

If I plant some of these crab apples in containers will they sprout and grow a tree?Do I need to let them dry out or freeze them before planting?

Yes you can sow then in a fertile seedbed. The winter will help them.
You may have better luck grafting and you have all winter to read about it. LOL This way you can actually have several types of apples on one tree. Many times deer will eat one apple early in the season and return to a different type later in the season. You see where I'm going with one tree posessing several may be more beneficial?
Honestly, That will be your best bet. But this grafting should be done mid-winter.
You may be able to try a method called layering. Do the search. I believe now would be the time to layer for next years root production in OK. Your local arborist may be able to help you. Most like little projects such as this.

Good Luck and keep us posted.

Its really hard to tell which type of crabapple it is....there are only countless different varities and culitivars of crabapples. And grafting them is pretty hard, better pick you up a few horticulture books.

There are many many crabapple cultivars, agreed, but the hornet is the most common. It's also a cultivar that has been used as stock to graft to due to it's resistance abilities. This makes it even more desirable.
It's a typical apple as far as it's ease of grafting is concerned. It's not like grafting a lilac.
Books would help but hands on from a professional, and I'm not flying there. LOL, would be your best bet.
A local college may help you. Students there may like to take up this challenge along with you. Give it a shot.
