    Default sawtooth oaks

    Do you guys know if the sawtooths will survive Wyoming's winter temperatures?What about pin oaks?

    I see the sawtooth are only for zones 5-9.
    The swamp white oak,white oak,burr oak,chinkapin,pin oak and northern red oak are supposed to grow in zones 3 and 4.
    Have any of you tried the sawtooths up north?

    Here in ND, we have white oak, red oak.....and tons of Burr oak.....

    Iminrut gave you some good beta.
    If you really want specific along what soil type/region Robert should be able to pinpoint what specific species will do well.
