Default Rubs scrapes & food plot pictures(lots of pics)

Well guys I can say that I'm pleased with my food plot combination this year. I planted 1.5 acres of food plot & the deer have been devouring my oats & they've hit my rye, clover & chicory hard to. They also started to hit my "shot plot" really good until the weather turned hot again. The only thing that's hampered me has been the weather on deer movement. Its been in the high 70s & 80s much of November so I haven't seen alot of rutting activity during the day by mature deer. But everytime I use this stand I see no less than 10 deer. Mature does, submissive does, fawns & immature bucks.

Here is the entire plot. On the far right is .5 acre of oats, the .5 acre on the left is rye, clover & a little chicory. In the background is a .5 acre of shot plot.

    Close up of the oats

    Shot Plot brassica

Off to the right about 50 yards down is a huge scrape thats still being used

    Turnips & tracks

I like to think of this as Brassica & Oat Crossing..... If you look to the left at the big pine tree with the no tresspassing sign, its a trail that the deer never used until both these plots came up. They love to stand & sort of like congregate right in the middle here then go left or right.

Here is a fresh rub & scrape just off the plot. It wasn't there last week & with the hot temps it must have been done at night.

Here is a different scrape & 1 more nice rub & a cluster of rubs all 20 yards apart. These are just on the inside of the woods

And here is my favorite Nov/late December stand over looking the plots. I'm ready for some cold nasty winter weather.

Hope you guys enjoy these pics.

Thanks guys, alot of hard work went into making these plots. I did it all alone pretty much. The temps are suppose to dip way down tomorrow & all of next week, so we'll see what happens the last month of the season here.

I have all the equipment to use with my 4 wheeler. Disc, drag, roller, spreader ect ect, but the corn fields get so hard & dry here in Aug/Sept that the past 2 years a farmer disced this spot for me with a large tractor & disc. The corn stalks are too hard for my disc its not heavy enough. After he breaks the ground I try to wait a day or 2 before a good rain & I use my 4 wheeler to fertilize & seed.

If you don't have access to equipment you may want to ask a farmer or someone with access to a tractor or 4 wheeler to do the same thing. After the ground is broken its just a simple matter of getting the fertilizer & seed in the soil.

i just have a big fear of rocks. in my area of PA we have a ton of rocks in the ground and they are everywhere. i dont want to ruin a farmers equipment and not have the money to replace it

i will ask my neighbor up there if he could do that for me for a reasonabole price. he plants corn for us every year in out designated field but charges us a grand. its about 3 1/2 acers maybe 4
