    Default Great Chicory Info.

If you were to click on to www.qdma.com you would find a very informative article on chicory. I know some on this forum have asked questions, this article answers all of them.

I have a plot mixed with clover, chicory, alfalfa, trefoil plus wheat, oats, winter peas and rape so this spring I should spray it to eliminate the winter cereal grains to keep them from choking out the perrenials?
Did I read this right in the article?

I believe so. However the writer specified a grass killing herbicide like Poast Plus, not your herbicides known as Roundup.

The Poast Plus doesn't harm the chicory, alfalfa, clover or trefoil right?

You can find more information on the website for "whitetail Institute". They repackage Poast and sell it under the name "Arrest". It is claimed to kill most grasses but won't harm clover, alfalfa, chicory or Extreme.

Very informative article there. Have a little chickory growing in one of our plots, the deer and turkeys both seem to like it.
