    Default deer feeder spinner plates?

I use moultrie feeders and one is the pro model with the large metal plate well with the wind we had today I had a nice pile of soybeans under the feeder. I think this plate needs some tabs welded on it to keep the beans from blowing off when the wind is gusting to 30 mph.
Have you guys had this problem with your feeders?

I have 8 moultrie proline feeders. I have not had this problem. I have had coons go looking for corn and pull alot of soybeans out to try and get corn. This was done after I swapped from corn to soybeans last week. I think they gave up.

I even have some non-skid tape on the plate but it didn't help today with the beans,I did close the gap up between the plate and funnel.I have this 55 gallon feeder in a tree on a large hill so the wind is strong there.

Those turkeys didn't even run off today probably so full of soybeans they couldn't run.

Raising the spinner plate and closing that gap should fix the problem. I gotta say I've never had that problem though.

Exactly. You've got your gap too wide. If you close it, but aren't getting enough feed out, just increase the run time by a couple of seconds.

I checked it today and the gap is no more than 1/2" but the wind gusts we've had the past two days can still blow the beans off the plate. The pro model plate has four tabs bent up so I wrapped some electrician tape tab to tab on two sides. This helped some but a few beans were still blowing off. When the feeder is close to empty I'll pull the plate and weld some strips of metal connecting the tabs, hopefully it will work.

I added some more time to the feeders this morning since this bad storm is moving in,found a small 3 pt. shed under the feeder.
Those turkeys had cleaned up under the feeders and I got within 30 yards of them while they walked away.
