Mtn. Lion near home

People always told me I was crazy to think we had Mountain Lions around here. I have found some huge cat tracks out here where I hunt. Well yesterday their fears came true. Mountain Lion was spotted about 5 miles from the house.

Well now that it is confirmed I will not be hitting the woods without a pistol on my side and yeah it felt real good to prove them wrong. They always just said "Oh that is a bobcat track". Yeah right bobcat tracks aren't almost as big as my hand.

Yep, think I would be carrying, it kinda sucks that Ok law won't let you carry a pistol during archery season though. I wonder how a CCL works with that.................

I though you could carry a pistol in archery for Self defense purposes only. They say you better have bite marks before you shoot one but if that sucker charges I will be unloading on him for sure.

no way in hades will I give something like that a chance to bite me.

Just looked it up, if you have a CCL, you CAN CARRY a firearm during archery season. HMMM, may be time to get my CCL.

I've never seen one here, a little south of Tulsa, but I've heard what sounded like one several times.

I saw two cubs just north of where I live. We now have established a mountain lion season here in SD. Mostly the Black Hills. Watch your back, man!

I don't have a CCL yet so I guess they are just gonna have to give me a ticket.
