Well...that's disappointing

So I mentioned before about sending in a photo of me and my archery buck to the NY Outdoor News Best Buck Contest....supposedly antler size isn't a factor. I thought if I didn't win, at least my photo would be in the paper. NO! The last issue, they had 2 full pages of entry photos, I wasn't in it. Just got the latest issue today, which announced the winners and they still had entry photos, I was no where! I thought my photo was decent but obviously my deer wasn't "big" enough or what not I don't know. I was thinking of emailing them and finding out if they even received my photo. Maybe they just had too many entries to publish and therefore only showed the "better" ones. I just annoys me because it seems that antler size always plays a factor, even if they say it doesn't. Or I need a betetr camera. Oh yeah, and they said field photos are best. Well it's hard to do field photos when you get your deer in the evening and by the time you get it cleaned and dragged, its pitch black out. Ok, I'm sorry but I had to vent

Bummer. But don't let it bring you down. That picture means more to you and the people who are happy for you than the strangers at some magazine.

Post the pic and we will tell you how awesome it is!!!!

Thanks madhuntinpastor. I know I wouldn't trade that hunt for anything and the memories are worth alot more to me. and knowing God blessed me with that deer. Winning isn't everything.....
