CHICAGO, December 14, 2006 – OPT Holdings, Inc. (“OPT”), a portfolio company of Svoboda, Collins L.L.C (“Svoboda”), is pleased to announce it has partnered with management to invest in Primos, Inc. (“Primos” or the “Company”). The transaction is the second acquisition for OPT. Madison Capital Funding L.L.C. provided senior debt to complete the transaction. Specific terms of the transaction were undisclosed.

Based in Flora, Mississippi, Primos is the nation’s premier brand in the designing, manufacturing and marketing of game calls and accessories to the outdoor industry. Over the past 30 years, Primos has become one of the most widely recognized and marketed brands in the hunting industry by creating products that make a difference to hunters and outdoorsmen and allow them to Speak the Language®.

Like it or not, this type of developement is normal business. Usually, the little guy ends up the big loser. Time will tell. One has to wonder if Realtree and Mossy Oak are not far behind.

Rumor was that Will will stay on for 4 more years and that he may well be into his retirement years. Great guy that Will Primos is, wonder what he will do for retirement? Maybe some hunting?

I would have to go back through posts at Primos to get the actual statement from Primos, but basically Will is still in control of the company and it is being run the same way. The new company is just handling the accounting side of things

keep in mind optronics also makes scopes and other optics as well as spotlights in addition to a whole line of lighting (you know opt x the stuff for the import tuner crowd neons and such) sounds like a good deal to me as long as the quality of the calls stays "primo" I welcome it

Amen, I don't want the quality of their calls to go down. I'm big user of the PRIMO"s calls!

I have always had great respect for Will and his company, and wish him the best. I will still enjoy his hunting dvd's ( hopefully ) .

Don't think we will see that much difference in it for a while and don't know if we will then. From everything I have heard it is a partnership! Will is still the man!
