Thread: Deodorant

    Question Deodorant

I haven't found a deodorant for hunters that works YET. All the ones designed for hunting that says "kills human scent" are a J-O-K-E. Even after wearing it for a little while with no real strenuous exercise leaves me smelling like I just tarred a roof at noon on a hot day in July.

Anyone agree? Recommend one that actually works??

Scent Shield seems to work for me. Maybe you should try showering BEFORE you head out to the woods

The one by HS works fine for me. Haven't had any complaints.

I use Dead Down Wind. I'll have to ask my wife if she can tell after I come home from hunting all day.

I shower BEFORE ya idgjit. And I use Scent Shield. Doesn't work at all. And I am not a profuse "sweater". Normal everyday deodorants work for me but they're all "scented".

The type of car you drive doesnt matter. The only thing that matters is the size of the arm hanging out the window!

CORRECTION: It's not Scent Shield. It's that garbage that Wal-Mart sells. "Hunter's Specialties -- Scent-Away.

Have you tried some of the big name brands that are unscented. I use Sure unscented in camp.

Skip all that "hunters deodorant" and use the same brand you typically use daily, but in an unscented version. When I hunt, I use Sure Soft Solid unscented deodorant/antiperspirant. No issues here.

That is what I use Andrea, and it seems to work fair for me.

I've always used Arid XX Dry I think it's called. Scentless--should be in your grocery store.
