This was one interesting deer hunt and one more great hunting story to pass along.
I started the morning late because I had to drop Diana off at work at 7:00am. I didn't get home, change and get out to Chester's property until around 8:00am.
I did see a nice black-bear on the way into the property, out off the main road on the native land. I hunt just in behind that land. The pictures turned out terrible, because I should have turned off the truck to stop all the vibration...but oh
Well, the 2009 hunting season is fast approaching, and I guess it's time I learned how to use this Blog thingy.

The bow season opened on Saturday Aug. 22. Diana and I went for a morning and evening hunt, but saw no shooters. We did get to see lots of deer though, and plenty of young bucks. Diana filmed some of the action, which

Well, I guess it's that time already , when I get to go out and really enjoy the great outdoors.
My buddy (Steve) and I got up at 4:30 am this morning, just to get there at dark, so we could sneak into our spots, before daybreak.
It rained all night, and everything was soaking wet, so it didn't
Meet Wheeler. We took pictures of this guy at our deer feeder in Dec, January and Feb. He lost his headrack early, about the middle of January. Diana found his right side about 1/2 mile North of our house in an empty lot by the graveyard, while we were shed hunting in late Jan/early Feb.
We went back there a few times looking for the other side, but no such luck.
Last week, I decided to see if I could get permission to check out a neighbours yard (where I see deer all the time) who
