    Default Jeff Gordon

Now here's a driver gents,,,,he goes 3 laps down early in the race and makes 2 of these 3 laps up all on his own and gets the last one back on the lucky dog pass, and now with less than 200 laps left in the Martinsville race he's back on the lead lap in 14th. and contending for the win.......
This to me would more than show this guys driving ability and skill, in a tight race.....

I couldn't have said it better myself.

In defense of the non Gordon fans, they don't hate him because they don't think he can drive, they just don't like his personality. In fact if anyone here doesn't think he's got probablythe best skills in Nascar today, I'ld really like to hear why......not to start a debate, just to hear the opinion in an intellegent coversation without bashing Gordon or his fans.

[/ QUOTE ] Ya I would say the same thing.. most people that hate him, hate him because of his personality. Most people say he's a "cry baby".........lol

You know I've heard this more than I would care to say.....

And I will ask again like I have many times before ,,,Name some instances that Jeff cried unjustly about something race related.....

I just think it has more to with him being able to compete with anyone driving today.....and WIN

His crying was more in the early days. He matured into the best driver in the sport today. He can drive any track. Speedways, super-speedways , short tracks and Road Courses......doesn't matter. I'm not a big fan, because I'm not drawn to his personality either, but I certainly respect him. I had to root for him at the end of the race because he was the only Chevy that had a chance after Labonte and Stewart went out.

Martinsville is more of a drivers track, but Jeff was only part of the equation of why the 24 was in Victory Lane. The team itself desreves the credit.

Couldn't have said it better myself! Gordon did a great job driving, but that whole 24 team stayed with it and showed just how good they are.

I'm not really a Jeff Gordan fan but I knew somehow after going 3 laps down that he would probably end up winning...that team is good!

Gordon and his team got it done.I have to say that Jimmie Johnson and Ryan Newman surprised me with their finishes too. They all fought back from problems for good finishes.

I wonder if a lesser no-name did that "bump-n-run" into Gordon, and put the 24 into the guardrail like 24 did to 97, would they have allowed it. Probably not.
