Superguide Jr's hockey team snapped a ten game losing streak tonight-he scored the winning goal and a natural hattrick-man I'm glad-I'm the coach-to get that monkey off our back.

He plays Double A Bantam-13-14-in Sask. this is the 14 year olds draft year-they'll be drafted by WHL teams and then try out for their AAA Midget affiliates. Our team lost two underage guys to AAA which really hurt us-but I got a great group of kids-they just keep battling. My cocoach is an old teammate from when I played Bantam (you'll like him another Bruins fan lol) so we've been down alot of hockey roads together.Were down to 8 forwards and 4 defenceman right now so the character players are showing their stuff-as a coach all I ask from a player is a full games effort no matter how skilled they are. You might see some of our local boys in the AHL I think there's 3 or 4 playing there now. Another one is Jeff Friesen but he's in hockey purgatory (Washington) lol.

I think Hockey is good for youth. I wish hockey was more popular down here in the US. Down here if your not a basketball fan with gold teeth and gold chains arond your neck, your not cool. But at least I have 2 boys that love the game. Plus I don't think I could afford the "bling bling" on my salary

BTW, going to another AHL game tonight. Lowell against Prov Bruins. Should be a good game
