    Default Litany of Cleveland

Article in the Colubus Dispatch the other day.

Cleveland Browns top draft picks and what happened.

2005: Braylon Edwards (3rd overall). Torn ligament in the knee. Out 9 to 12 months.

2004: Kellen Winslow Jr. (6th overall) Broken leg on Sept 19, 2004 covering an onside kick, missed rest of the season. Then in May of 2005 Motorcycle boy gets into accident, out for the 05 season.

2003: Jeff Faine (21st overall) suffered a season ending ankle injury in Nov. '03 cost him the final 5 games.

2002: William Green (16th overall) Missed 8 games in 03 for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

2001: Gerard Warren (3rd overall) Nicknamed "big money" high priced talent underachieved (in Cleveland? Really?) in four seasons, never getting more than 5.5 sacks in a season.

2000: Courtney Brown (1st overall) First guy in the whole draft that year, missed 33 games in five seasons with foot, knee, neck and ankle injuries.

1999: Tim Sofa, err Couch. (who?) (first overall) Battled arm problems and never had higher than a 77.6 passer rating during 5 seasons with the Clowns.

I'd do the Indians and Cavs, but my fingers hurt.

    Welcome to Cleveland.

I posted this a while back Chris, it's so sad, I almost laugh. Def. the reason for the Brown's troubles.

If you look at who we could of had, now that's really sad, the list includes

McNabb, LT, heck we could of had Clinton Portis in the second round but Butch Davis (his college coach) passed on him because he was to small.

Chris you sould take a look at our second round picks too. They're not much better, most are gone or have been busts.

Like Paul said, Brodney Poole will be a good one, and Northcutt has been a solid contributor, but after that it's guys like Quincy Morgan (BB11 love affair) and a bunch of other stiffs.

Not yet...but he is the 2nd best receiver on the team.

And he will catch a TD pass against Cleveland on Christmas Eve.

    And the Steelers WILL win.
