Coco Crisp to the Red Sox for either Bronson Arroyo or Matt Clement.

So, gurus? Whatcha make of this one??

From an outsider's view it looks like a win, win. In all actuality, though, Boston is the one hurting on this one. They're having to replace Damon with a comparable player while losing a starting pitcher.

If its for Clement I think Cleveland gets a great deal....if its Arroyo I dont see it as being a win for either side.

Did I miss something? When did the Sox decide to replace Damon? As far as I know he still wants back with the Sox and they want him back. They're working out his new deal.

The Sox are currently working on contingency plans to replace him, Josh. Damon says while although Boston would be his first choice, there's a good chance he won't be in a Sox uniform next year.

Now, I'm not saying its a done deal, but usually, if a player's first choice is his home team, he goes back no matter what. When the player says there's a good chance he won't, then there's something that both sides just can't work out.

This answers another question on Coco Crisp.

I still don't see Damon going anywhere, but then again, the last time I had this feeling was with Rod Woodson and the Steelers after SuperBowl 30, and we know how that ended.

There's always talk about the Tribe dealing Coco every year, never seems to happen. I think Coco would be a real grab for a NL team, he'd really come into his own there. I don't think he'd be a good fit in Boston.

I wouldn't mind seeing Clement here, but honestly, Crisp is a heck of a player, I like him in LF and hitting behind Grady.

BoSox's can keep Arroyo.

Arroyo goes away after 3 or 4 innings? He's one of the few that went the distance for the Sox last year.
