72-69 last night in hoops, that was a great game.

This is the highest ranking the Badgers have ever held: 3 / 4 in AP / Coaches polls.

That was a fun game to watch last night. OSU took (and made) a ton of threes. That is what kept it close. Wisconsin was just too tough at the end.

Anyone see that "shot" by Alando Tucker on the inbound with 3 seconds left on the shot clock? That was quite the play!

Wins over #2 Pitt and #5 OSU. Wisconsin looks pretty good again this year.

I was really impressed with Wisconsin. They're gonna be tough to beat this year.

Still though...give the young Buckeyes some more experience and they'll be hardened by tourny time.

Muggs, I remeber a month or so ago you talking about how good OSU basketball was, and how it was gonna be great to have BOTH NCAA titles, now all I hear is how "young" the BB team is, especially AFTER the thumping the Gators gave them, and THEN the Gators thumped the Football team to win THAT title..............

They start 4 freshman and 1 sophomore Jason. How else am I supposed to label them, other then..."young"?

Thad Matta has hard verbals from enough HS Seniors and Juniors that his next two recruiting classes are already ranked in the top ten. He's still waiting on 6 more high schoolers to sign. Even if he gets half of them...WOW!!

Matta is building a dynasty. This is just the beginning...and even with 4 freshman and 1 sophomore, this team can play with anyone, even though 95% of the starting lineup having less than two months college BB experience.

You gotta give the Buckeyes credit. If I'm not mistaken, they've got 3 losses and they all came from teams in the top 5 at the time AND away from home.

I couldn't tell you what my NCAA bracket will look like come March, but I can tell you this: Ohio State will be in the championship game on mine. And BTW---they'll be losing too.

Yeah, they lost to UNC, Florida and Wisconsin....all on the road.

Just glad we played them in the Kohl Center.

If I had to guess, I'd say 51.

So a bunch of freshman losing to the defending National Champs...on their floor was surprising to you?

The Buckeyes will be there every year for a long time...like I said, this is just the start.

Actually, I heard he's sort of a different cat...really into his studies. Of all the schools he looked at, OSU's academics (in whatever it is he's studying) was one of the better programs nationally. He turned down a few offers because the school didn't offer what ever he was interested in too.

When he first signed with OSU, he said he intended to play all 4 years because he wanted the degree. Of course, that will never happen, but it would have been nice if it did.
