2007 Forum Fantasy Baseball: Intensive league

PM me your team name and your availabiltiy for a live draft on these dates: Tuesday 23rd at 8 eastern; Wednesday 24th at 8 eastern; and Thursday 25th 8 eastern. Depending upon which date has the most able to attend, we will schedule our first draft.

There will be 2 or possibly 3 live drafts held in the Realtree Chat room. You will need to be present at the initial draft to enter. If you cannot be present for the remaining drafts, your team will be chosen from the highest ranking players left. Each player will have access to a spreadsheet showing the required positions to fill and a list of each of the participants.

This league is for serious fantasy baseball players. We will play head to head each week, scoring these 10 stats: HR's, Runs, RBI's, AVG, SB, Wins, Saves, K's, ERA and WHIP.

This will be a keeper league with a traveling trophy. Players will be able to keep all players(3 year limitation) except for those picked in the first 7 rounds of the draft.

Members that quit setting their teams mid-year, will not be allowed to return the following year.

Realtree members will have the first shot at filling the 10-12 team allottment. However, if you have a friend that would like to play, PM me.

I gots questions.......

23rd, 24th, 25th of Janurary for the draft? And how long do you anticipate these drafts will be?

Also, we are not doing this through yahoo or cbs or anything like that right? So we are going to have to get our own list of players?

The 23rd, 24th and 25th will be the first draft meeting. We'll schedule others depending upon how many we have left and when we can get the most to attend.

Yahoo will host the league. I will get each player a list of the top 300 players. That's the order we'll use if someone cannot make one of the drafts.

How are you going to qualify players for positions if you draft prior to the season opener? Based strictly on where they played last season, or the last 3 seasons, or what?

We're using Yahoo has our league hoster. We'll go by their roster designations. At the first of the year, they go by what a player was playing the majority of last year, if there was one. If a team has determined a player will only play one position, then they'll more than likely limit is options.
