Whats Your Reason?

Obviously there is a big dispute about who you guys like and don't like. So, whats your reason for not liking a driver?

The two drivers I like the least are Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon, in that order. The 48 is way too cocky. Anytime he gets into an accident, its always someone elses fault. Rockingham for example. He and Kenny Schrader make contact sending the 48 into the wall. It wasn't a racing thing to JJ though, Kenny shouldn't have been out on the track. And at Dover. Michael and Dave Blaney make contact and Jimmie can't avoid it. But, aparantly, the 15 and 23 (at the time) were just being idiots. Hmm. So a 2 time Daytona 500 Champion is an idiot?

And Jeff Gordon. I tell ya, I don't like the guy, be he can drive a car. He had that stretch of 30+ wins in a short amount of time. I was getting tired of him winning every week and I still don't like him. I don't like some of his actions either. Like jumping all over KS at Darlington. The guy got spun, he's not going to dive down through traffic just so the 24 can get by.

So, there are my reasons for why I don't like those guys. Now, why I like Dale Jr.

He's the son of the greatest driver of all time. He worked his way up through local racing, up to Busch and now Cup. He hasn't had everything givin to him like some think. He's a great driver and seems like a pretty cool dude, based on his DVD.

Now, let's see if any Gordon fans can get through a post without saying 8 sucks.

OK. That post was for thoughts on the race not on Gordon and Junior. Oh well though. I like to see what everyone has to say.

Me, I am a big #8 fan all the way. As for Jeff Gordon, like Chrud said in the other post, I don't hate him I dislike of him. same here, Jeff is a good race car driver no doubt about it but Im not a fan of his and i wouldn't go for him for any race.

Reasons:

Jeff Gordon: I agree he is a heck of a driver. But look at him, if he isn't gay he sure missed a heck of a chance. Really, I got tired of him winning so much, and posing a threat to my #1 driver. Plus he seems to whine a little to much when things don't go his way (just like Rusty).

Robby Gordon: Too reckless.

Kurt Busch: Again, don't like the way he looks or acts. Needs to grow up. Also has a combination of Robby Gordon/Rusty Wallace in him, he is a reckless whiner.

Kyle Busch: Kurt's brother.

J. Johnson: See Chrud explanation.

Stewart: Drives for Home Depot, I can't ever find anything I need in that store.

Harvick: Took over the ride of the Greatest Driver ever.

Waltrip: Entertaining and you gotta give it to him, anybody that would stick with it for over 400 races without winning, loves what he is doing, and it shows. Plus he drives for the team built by the Greatest Driver ever.

Schrader: Very entertaining, will race anything, and just seems like a good guy.

First, let me start by saying, contrary to what some of you might think, i am a big Dale Jr. fan. I like him for the very reasons Chrud does. I just love to rattle the cage of any Gordon haters! As for drivers i don't like, there really aren't any. I just like some more than others.

I don't like Tony Stewart. He is a good driver but with his stupid hotheaded moves at times, I think that he is going to get someone killed. Besides, he likes to pick on my favourite driver, Kasey K.

My top guy is Waltrip, cause he should not be where he is today if track records indicate success. He was the lovable looser. He hung there and fought to be where he is today.

My Favorites:
Dale Sr/Jr - Already explained Jr. Sr was the greatest. He will always be the greatest. He was also a great sportsman and family man.

Michael Waltrip - Teammate of Dale Jr. Very funny on camera. Doesn't get near the credit he should. Heck of a driver, not just on plate tracks.

Kevin Harvick - Took over the greatest ride ever in NASCAR. He has a little "Intiminator" showing in him. Agressive, but doesn't wreck people let and right, like the 20 car.

Martin Truex Jr - The next big thing, trust me. Drives for Dale Jr. Awesome driver in the Busch Series. He will be huge once in Nextel Cup in 2006.

Elliott Sadler - Just a good guy. Big into hunting too. Does a lot of great things, especially for his niece.

Other Dislikes:
Kurt Busch - Whines too much. Doesn't think most wrecks are his fault. Wrecks his teammates too.

Kyle Busch - Dweeb. The Kid isn't nearly as good as he could be. Needs a lot of growing and maturing.

Rusty - I don't not like him that much, but I don't like him either. Whines and complains about every little thing NASCAR does. Puts a lot of blame on other drivers.

You know TT, I was going to say that about JG, but I thought I'd be nice in this post. I'm just waiting for more Gordon fans to reply. It's almost likes its difficult to get a nice post from them.

I do not dislike any drivers. I would rather see some win than others, but for the most part i pick a driver I would like to see win while I am watching the race.

I dont like Jr. because in my mind, jr's fame shot up as soon as his dad died. And thats how he became popular. The only races the guy normally does good is restrictor plate races. NASCAR lets him get away with alot of stuff. (Intentionally spinning himself to keep himself on lead lap ) He is not a real racer. Accept the fact youre not as good as the leader.

Tony Stewart recks everybody, its as if he has no brain.
Same with R.Gordon.

Jimmie Johnson

Jeff Gordon is my favorite driver. Sure he wins alot, but all around the guy is good. One heck of a racer. He can get a good finish out of a horrible car. Theyve got good teamwork in the pits too.

Jimmie Johnson is another good driver. He is in his second year, and is beating everybody so far. He always gets a good finish. And right now he is beating both gordon, and Dale Jr.. So some of you better watch what you say about him, because hes beating good ole jr.

I like Matt Kenseth because he is probably the most responsible driver out there. He starts a wreck, he plainly says, sorry, my fault. Others will blame another person. He can start in the very back, and get a good finish. Part of that is because of his pit crew. One of the best, possibly ever. Rivaling the Rainbow Warriors. He owes them alot of good finishes. Kenseth and his team are very good.

I have to comment because not all your facts are correct.

Jimmie Johnson is in his 3rd year.

I don't understand what you mean by "getting away with stuff". He got a $25,000 fine and a 25 point deduction for it. Tony Stewart got that plus another $25,000 for punching someone. I would definately say Junior didn't get away with that.

Chrud not Churd and second although Junior is in second to Johnson right now when it comes down to the final ten races Junior will only be behind points. It is not always how the driver is good. He couldv'e got caught up in a wreck that was unavoidable, then finshed last.

My Likes:
1. Dale Earnhardt-He is and forever will be the best NASCAR driver. A great champion, a great sportsman, a great friend.
2. Dale Earnhardt Jr.-Son of Dale Sr. heck of a driver and has alot of the Intimidator in him.
3. Michael Waltrip-DEI driver I agree funny and doesn't get enough credit.
4. Martin Truex Jr.-On his way with Chance 2 to a championship.
5. Tony Stewart-One of Jr.'s good friends and works well with Jr. at Talledega and Daytona. And that he doesn't like Jeff Gordon and he's always getting into trouble.

Dislikes:
1. Jeff Gordon-He is annoying and just gets on my nerves. My girlfriend never watched NASCAR before she dated me and has watched it a little with me. And what is so funny is that she just dislikes him as much as I do. And some of the stuff she says about him are hellarious.
2. Robby Gordon- A complete retard, and doesn't know how to drive. How did he ever get a ride in NASCAR? Oh his first win was awesome! NOT! Passing Harvick under the caution was a real good move. Stupid
3. Kurt Busch-Big wine bag and a bad driver. He blocks so much and what he said at that one track about next week going to a real race track to the fans was pretty stupid. Just because you have a bad run at a particular track means you need to work a little harder and maybe do some testing at that track.
4. Rusty Wallace- Don't care for him at all. He and Earnhardt were always getting into it.
5. Sterling Marlin- He ran up behind Earnhardt Sr. at Daytona and got him loose. I really don't care for him either
