all depends on the range.... i'd use a 20ga #6 shot, or 12ga #6. i use both 12ga and 20ga for partridge (ruffed grouse) hunting up here and i always use #6 shot. we dont have pheasents in my area.... unfortunately
well i went i use my 16gauge 6 shot and i got a rooster with a 8in. tail
ya ya ok i shot him but he fell and ran and we didnt have dogs so we lost him u might think how can u lose somehting like a that if u have ever hunted around amarillo texas u know what i mean
not bad terrain just grass waiste HIGH
ha ha ha yes a am a good shot
Either a 20 or a 12 gauge is appropriate I think... I would probably use an over and under. They got any chuckers there?
You will lose pheasents more often than ya think....jonny rooster is one tough bird. I've seen them do some amazing things after getting swatted with some pretty heavy stuff. The only way is to get on those birds as fast as ya can.
