Did it work when you walked by? It's probably dead batteries or not hooked up right or something. Even if it's pretty high, as long as you point it towards the deer it will work. Try testing it just walking by.

Our cams are about 3 to 3 1/2 feet off the ground. I have my 3 year old help me test them when I move them around. If the cams pick her up I know they will get a deer.
What kind of cam are you using?
Are you sure it was not on stand by? What kind of cam is it?
That's exactly what i was thinking Jim.......used to be with my Stealth cams, but now with my Leaf River's I still have to talk myself into double checking to see if I actually turned it on, or if I left the switch in the off or test position........just caught myself leaving one off just the other day........sure wish these brain cells would grow back, LOL
