I jsut bought a sont trv 68 and love it, only things is I have a few questions to any camcorder owners, I was wonderign how those lenses work that are supposed to double your zoom, I know the sony ones are abotu 150 but I have found some japaneese aftermarket ones for about 65,they swear they are as good as the factory ones,what I was wonderign is do they actually double the zoom? so I ahve 20 power now will it double it to 40, right now I am gettign a good picture out to 3-400 yards , I was hoping for clearer a bit further out,say 600 yards or so do you think thesewill help! I knwo with the extra zoom a tripod is nessesary, any good suggestions on one that can be moved all ways and have 3 adjustable legs! last question is battery s, I will eb using thsi in the cold in winter, was lookign at a battery that is 7.7 times more powerfull than factory,I ahve one that is 2.2 times more now and am gettign a good coupel hours of filming with now,I am wonderign if a bigger batterywill still ware down as quick as a smaller one in the cold,would I be better off buying 3 smaller ones or one larger one, then keep 2 warm and change them more often!plus would the aftermarket batteries be as good??
