Finally got a stealth cam.

It took us awhile, but we finally jumped on the wagon. i've actually had the cam in my room for a couple weeks, but it was my dads anniversary present. For those of you MORON's out there, that means they got married 20 years ago today.

anyways, just from readin on here, this is the info i've gathered


-set the cam about 2.5-3 ft up a the tree
-set the timer at about 15 minutes(over a mineral lick)
-Don't have it facing east or west cuz the sun can cause it to take a picture
- and don't get mad when theres 50,000 squirrels and coons, but no deer on the film.

am I correct about all of these? What other helpful things can you tell me?

and don't hit the manual rewind button after walking a half mile into the woods, chaining it to a tree and setting it up over a good trail, and loading the only roll of film you have brought. Makes for some of this..%$#*@#&*@(*!!!!

I second that gobbler. If the counter on the front doesn't read that there is film in the camera then open it up and try loading it again. I bought mine off of J.B. in the classifieds and it works like a charm. I bought a Deer Cam off of KTMMIKE and it works like a charm too. I have gotten some really good pics but nothing that made me go...OH MY GOSH!!! yet so that's why they haven't been posted. Good luck with the cam Lil...I am sure you will enjoy yours like I enjoy mine.

Don't get discouraged if things don't turn out with the first roll or so.....seems like there is a learning curve with these cameras.......I still have three of them, and they are worth the money.....just takes a little time to get used to how they like to be set up....
