    Default Big Headed Deer Question...

Any of you guys have these problems? I've got two deer on my property that seem to have abnormally large heads. Could it be from inbreeding? I'm confused. The first picture has been flipped because I use it as a desktop. (the dates are backwards). Any info would be appreciated.

haha, never heard of big heads, but yeah you got some big heads there, i'm sorry i can't help with your question because i've never heard or personally had this problem. but yeah i would guess inbreeding could cause this, but i'm confused right with ya.

Thats a funny pic...cannot answer your question well, but I think it is more the pic than the deer. Ever looked fat in a pic? Same idea.

It's just the pics. The does head is close to the camera and her mouth is open, both make the head look bigger. On the buck he also has his mouth open some and his face is pointed straight at the camera so the length of his face doesn't show.

if it isn't photoshopped up...I would say it is just the camera being blurry: What kind of camera is in your game camera? I would guess it certainly isn't from inbreeding, or any other deformity....

My gues was photoshopped, and if it was, I must say you did an outstanding job.

but if I am wrong you def. have some weird deer.

Looked distorted by the cam in the first pic. The second one looks photoshopped to me.

LMAO--I'm sure ohiobucks will weigh in on this one if he reads this post.

Fall of '03 I shot a doe on his buddy's property and after we got done butchering it we just kind of looked at the head of that doe, and to be honest, it was grotesquely huge. It looked like the Shrek of deer.

Don't know the reason, but that was easily the ugliest deer I've ever shot. Her meat was pretty tough, and we never did check her teeth, but I'm guessing she was a really old doe. Maybe their head keeps growing as they get older, cuz she had a huge head.
