What do you think of this little guy? He has horrible genetics as you can see from the under developement of his rack. I have a pair of buck tags for archery alone this year.. should I take him out before he has a chance to pass on his bad genetics?

I'm guessing this needs to be moved to the Land and Wildlife Management forum.
But, to answer your question. How old do you think this deer is and what are your goals? For my goals, if the deer is 2.5 I'd probably take him out. If he's 3.5 or older I'd definitely want him gone. If he's 1.5, then I like what I see.
I honestly doubt that he is 1.5. I would assume that this is a 2 and a half year old deer. Our deer usually don't achieve that amount of height after just one year of growth.
That's not a 1 1/2 year old. For one his neck is too big for a 1 1/2 year old. I would cull this buck if you're trying to manage a ranch. Around here I'd think about getting that one mounted!!!![]()
put em in your freezer before he can do damage.
hes pretty small
take him out
