Changing a film cam to a digital cam

If I was to purchase a digital camera, can it be swapped out with my 35mm film camera in my Stealth cam?? Is it just a matter of swapping the camera or is there more to it??
BTW, my wife gave me the green light for my Cuddeback purchase after Christmas!!

I would think it would be a little more in depth then switching the cams, have to wire the new one and try it i guess.
