Default A couple of neat bucks

The first guy is a 1.5 year-old that looks like he has potential to grow double main beams on both sides.

The second guy is another young buck that broke off an antler fighting last fall. He's got potential to be a pretty good buck in a couple years.

Both nice young deer. I suspect in about 4 more years the first one will be a real heart stopper of a nontypical.

They are feeding on oats. I put out oats for them in the winter. In January I usually start mixing in alfalfa hay or alfalfa dehy pellets.

They are wild deer in a heavily hunted area. Even in the dead of winter long after hunting seasons are over they stick to the cover of night. I don't yet have permission to hunt this property; however, I have permission to put out a game cam. There were a couple big bucks in the area this past fall, but as far as I know none of the people who hunted the property shot a buck.

I'm using a digital homebrew that Tim & I bought off a local guy (he goes by the handle Predator1 on Jesseshuntingpage forums). It seems to actually work better in the cold than in mild weather as far as detecting deer. I haven't used it in much cold weather so far, but it has fared pretty good in the little bit of cold weather we've had.
