    I'm not familiar with the Moultrie but are there different flash intensity settings? If so, try putting it on the lowest setting.
    You might also have flash washout because the subject is too close. Try moving the camera away from the trail or bait. Also, make sure that the front of the cam is clear of branches, grass and leaves because flash will reflect off of these easily.
