that winter and rut could have been hard on him, go find his sheds now!!!!!!!!!
Winter hard..in Florida? Not sarcasm, serious...I have never been to Florida in the winter, does it get kinda cold? Ever snow? These are serious questions not being a smart guy, just don't know. We actually have hardly any snow, (less than a foot) and this is unusual. Usually by now we have anywheres between 2 - 4 feet. The temperatures are usually well below zero also like -20 to -35 degrees and the coldest it has been is -21 for a couple days here once this year! I'll take it!!![]()
No these picture are from maryland not florida, I live in florida but my dad live in maryland and he sends me the pics every week since i cant be there. It helps keep me in the game. With out the leg work. Great for me not so good for him.
He will put some wieght back on

This year was pretty mild. There have been some pretty cold ones though. And yeah, here in northwest Florida where I am close to the Alabama line, we do occasionally get snow. Our temps start to really nose-dive around January. But this year was warm.
I would say we went below freezing only 10-20 times this winter. As for south Florida.......I don't know. I would imagine they were a lot warmer than us.
Sorry for hijacking.![]()

kinda what i was thinkin
He doesn't look skinny to me. Looks pretty healthy.
I do not think it is the winter. More than likely it was the rut or something else. We have had a mild snowless winter here...

I originally thought so too, but then after looking at the pic some more the snout/muzzle seems awful long for a button. Also take a look at the brisket, looks like it has had some decent muscle in the lower area, but not as filled out as it would have been during the pre-rut. I think its a young buck maybe 1 1/2??![]()
it does look skinny but i think it will be ok
I think its the camera angle he looks fine to me.
it is a buck, if you zoom in you can see where his horns were. But he does look a bit slim. I am sure he will rebound fine.
