I agree with you guys. In the field pictures are the way to go.

Like many of of you, I'm sure, you sometimes hunt alone and often there's no one around "in the field" to take a picture for you. With a lightweight, portable tripod and the timer feature on most camera's you can still get some decent shots. These are my turkeys from last spring, all taken in that manner.

Spring '05 #2. Probably would have been a better picture without the big chaw of Redman!

Spring '05 #3. My partner and I doubled up so I still had to take the picture with the timer.

I like taking field shots as well. Most of the time I'm by myself so I try to remember to keep a tripod in the truck. Heres a few of mine...

here are a few of my field photos, that is the only way I like it done!!

This one was taken at our hunting cabin but we still found a good background!

These ones are from my buck that I got this year bowhunting, we took quite a few pics at the spot the deer died, just wiped off the blood and the colors are great!

This one if from my first turkey last year! My 12 year old sister was with me on the hunt and took the pic right at the spot i shot the bird!

Then also when we take a deer we like to take a few pics with our timber in the background!

My son is my latest photographer

Decent field photo, except for the lack of a smile. Good example of trying to keep your eyes open when the strobe flash is going off.

We try to take field photos when we can, but sometimes it just is not possible.
