Default Digiscoping options with Canon cameras?

I am planning to purchase a new spotting scope in the next 2 or 3 months and would like to make sure I can use it for digital photos ("digiscoping") as well as for hunting.

Any suggestions for good scopes that work well with Canon digicams? In particular, I have a Canon S2 IS and will probably buy a Canon D-SLR (not sure which model yet) sometime in the future.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Some adapters will not allow for auto metering and some other auto functions.
