Hi, I have a homebrew with a Olympus D370, I did not build this unit, but I was wondering if it could be changed to IR? Also if you have the time to let me know whats all involved in this kind of change?
Thanks
Joe

Yes you can. You just have to remove the ir filter from inside the camera and replace it with clear glass. Then put an Ir filter over the flash. The flash range will be significantly reduced so you'll probably need to add a slave flash.
Here are instructions on how to remove the filter http://community.webshots.com/album/88976399OBTghQ
Here is a good place to buy IR filter material to cover the flash and slave flash - http://www.trailsendcams.com/
Thanks Bond, I think I`m going to give it a try. Do you think I should try a Fresnel Flash Enhancer first and see how that works?
Thanks
Joe
I don't think it will help too much. With the olympus cams you really need a slave flash. A sony you could probably get away without using a slave.
