Default adobe photoshop 4.0 HELP NEEDED!!!!!

    Hi Guys!!!

I recently purchased adobe 4.0 photoshop and am experimenting.

    Two questions:
1: When I e mail people the photos are "huge" I have tried to "resize" them and everything else and they still attach as very large photos. How do I down size them so that you do not have to scroll across the screen to se parts of the photo.

    2. I took a photo and my eyes are closed. I figure that I will just put sunglasses over my eyes. I read the instructions and "edited" out the sunglasses from one photo, however, I can not get them to incorporate (over my face) into the other photo that I want to keep.

Any help would be appreciated. You can answer here or PM me. and I would be willing to call you just to get these problems solved.

    Thanks
    Good luck to all

Do you mean Adobe Photoshop 4.0 or Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0? They are two different programs. The first one I listed is extremely old version of Photoshop from back in November 1996. They are up to version 9.0 aka CS2 now. So, I'm assuming you really mean Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0?

I can't answer question #2, because I use a different program. But an easy way to downsize pictures is by opening your picture, using your paint program. You don't need a calculator beside you like some of the other programs.

You have "PAINT" on your computer already.

    RESIZING Pictures

Go to your picture folder on your PC where the picture is stored.
    Right click on the picture
    (left click)Open with "Paint"
    left Click on "Image"
    left Click on "stretch/skew"
When the box comes up, change your height and width from 100% to 40 or 50% and left click on "OK".

Let's say you chose 50%, and the picture isn't quite small enough yet.
You need to first undo, what you just did by clicking on "EDIT" and then "UNDO"

Then you can go back to "STRETCH/SKEW" and try maybe 40%.

If your NOT interested in keeping the original format for future developing, go to "FILE" and just click on "Save".You can always rename the picture by right clicking on it in your files and left clicking on "rename"

    .................

If you want to keep one picture of the original size for future developing and one of the downsized for the web, click "Save as"... re-name your picture and choose save as .jpg and designate which folder you want to save it in so you know where it is.
    It's that easy

When you name your picture, don't leave any spaces. example: - MoosePic2005 or moose_pic_2005

I don't use Photoshop Elements so I cannot be of exact help with your questions when it comes to the exact steps on how to do those things in Photoshop Elements 4.0. But, here is a website that offers several video tutorials for the program. [ LINK ]
