Watch out for the Big Guy

These 2 bucks approached the trail cam that afternoon. The mature buck in the back is a main frame 3x4 with a small kicker off of his right brow tine.


Oops someone else is coming in...better make room for him.


It's Ol' Split Ear!


And 4 afternoons later Ol' Split Ear returns with a young buddy!


And decides to give me a side view too this time.


This is a real nice buck for this part of the country. With another month or so to add some more length to his tines and main beams I'm pretty anxious to see how he fills out. He also appears to have a possible kicker on the back side of his left brow tine from zooming in on 1 of the 5 pics I have on him so far. I'll be checking my camera again this weekend to see if I captured some more pics of him before I move it.

Nice buck. Looks like a good spot to set up a hanging stand for bow season. I guess you are using trace mineral salt at this site?
